Dutch Oven Potatoes, or more commonly known as funeral potatoes here if you live in Utah are a perfect addition to any barbecue. While there are many different kinds, Devils Pit has perfected them with our simple recipe. First we start by cutting bacon up into 1” slices and cooking it on the stove. Next we cook an onion on the stove and add it to the bacon and add our Lilith rub and brown sugar to the bacon and onions. From there we peel 6-10 potatoes and slice them to 1/16th of an inch thick. From there we get a dutch oven out and grease it, layer it with the first layer of potatoes, att the bacon and onions, cover with cheese and layer the dutch oven until it’s full, leaving the top layer with just potatoes. We then put the potatoes in the oven at 350F for 3 hours and bake them until there tender and ready to eat, But we don’t eat them, next we vacuum seal them and flash freeze them to preserve the freshness and are ready to ship.
