Playing The Devil

When I first began my descent into the pit of darkness that is Devils Pit Barbecue, I did not yet bear the name Lucifer. But as time passed and I delved deeper into the realm of the damned, I thought to myself, "If I'm going to fully embrace my role as a purveyor of damnation, why not fully embrace the mantle of the Devil himself?" It was around this time that the Lucifer Morningstar TV show was at the height of its popularity.

I can still recall the fateful phone call with Marla Cook of Great Engineering, a supplier of bottle labelers based in California. My given name has always been a source of frustration for me, as people are prone to misspelling it or simply forgetting it. But it was during this conversation with Marla that the name "Lucifer Morningstar" was truly born. When she asked me my name, I simply stated, "Lucifer Morningstar, of Devil's Pit Barbecue." Her response was, "I'll remember you forever."

In the cutthroat world of running a business, it can be difficult to truly stand out. But by embracing the darkness and finding unique ways to do so, I have managed to forge a deeper connection with my customers. While some in Utah may shun me for "doing the Devil's work," at the end of the day it's all about branding and making an unforgettable impression.

For those of you who look upon my embrace of the name Lucifer and my ownership of Devils Pit Barbecue and think I should change it all: I have faced judgment from the likes of you all my life. Life is not meant to be taken too seriously. Embrace the darkness and learn to revel in the chaos of existence, for you only have one life to live
